Refund Policy

1. General Policy

This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be issued for services provided by Lofoten Lightscape, including photography workshops, sightseeing tours, aurora hunting experiences, and private tours.

All refund requests must be submitted in writing via email to: info@lofotenlightscape.com

2. Workshops & Private Tours Refunds

2.1 Deposit

  • A deposit is required to confirm all workshop and private tour bookings.

  • The deposit is non-refundable if cancellation occurs within 90 days prior to the scheduled activity

  • 60–90 days → 50% refund

  • <60 days → no refund

2.2 Full Payment

  • Full payment must be completed at least 60 days before the scheduled activity.

3. Group Activities (Scheduled Tours)

  • You may cancel your booking up to 48 hours before departure.

  • Refunds will be issued minus transaction fee.

  • Cancellations made less than 48 hours before departure, or failure to attend (no-show), are non-refundable.

4. Cancellation by Lofoten Lightscape

If Lofoten Lightscape cancels an activity due to:

  • Unsafe weather conditions

  • Operational issues

  • Other unforeseen circumstances

You will receive a full refund of all payments made.

5. Weather Conditions & Aurora Tours

  • All tours are subject to weather conditions, especially aurora hunting experiences.

  • Weather and visibility of natural phenomena (e.g., Northern Lights) cannot be guaranteed.

  • Lack of aurora visibility or unfavorable weather does not qualify for a refund, unless the tour is cancelled by Lofoten Lightscape.

6. No-Show Policy - Late Arrivals

  • Failure to appear at the agreed meeting point and time will be considered a no-show.

  • No refunds will be issued in such cases.

  • Late arrivals may miss the tour and are not entitled to a refund.

  • It is the customer’s responsibility to arrive on time.

7. Refund Processing

  • Approved refunds will be processed using the original payment method where possible.

  • Please allow up to 7–14 business days for the refund to be completed, depending on your payment provider.
